I posted my plans to ride on the Southern Mississippi Dual Sport Riders group, and was excited to get a message from David, asking to join me. He's a nice man and we had a great ride together on Saturday.

Never had a Reeses Ice Cram treat before - tasty!

Saturday night, I met a father/daugther duo riding across the country (Dad - BMW GS, Daughter Kawasaki 650). They walked over and enjoyed the campfire with me, along with some nice conversation.
Sunday, I decided to just "wing it" and see if I could find some "new to me" roads.

I did find some wonderful 2-track stuff in a section of the forest that I hadn't previously explored. It was maybe 40 miles of these delightful wiggly roads that zigged and zagged basically no where.

I also found a few goat trails that were fun and technically challenging, but I took those VERY slowly. When I'm riding the Bush Pig alone, my riding style changes significantly.

At the edge of the National Forest, I came upon this peaceful looking lake.

I had lunch under the shade of the cockpit of a small bulldozer parked on the road. Not a bad view to eat my sandwich from.

The "overlooks" in southern MS are not vastly, but one can see a little

The ice cream choices in Gloster, MS are woefully inadequate, but when in Rome.....

It was nothing earth shattering. There were no revelations, or profound discoveries. Just a retired man doing what he does.
Just a couple days in the woods....
Stay thirsty, my friends....
