So nobody really knows about a 2022 ? Is 2021 the first year for factory fixed 6 speeds?
Was told the 2021 ECU was re-flashed to not rev in 2nd to not stress gears, RPM max ?

Sales pitch that the kid should get the 06 for a hobby and father/son bonding if failing.
Now he says he doesn't care about a MC ?? WTF ?? Don't care, if mom asks back me up.
I have money, but always better if it's blessed.

Dude! What rock have you been hiding under? The 6-speed has been around 6 years now starting in 2016!

As for the next model year FJR.... NOBODY* ever knows anything until Yamaha puts it on their website. Usually in the September-November time frame. So, one way or another, we should know very soon.

There are a few that are in the know. But they are smart enough to keep their jobs so they don't blab!

The question was about a factory fixed 6-speed...

Yamaha is dragging their heels this year with respect to releasing the 2022 lineup. I haven't seen anything about the FJR, Venture or Ténéré although I could care less about the Venture.

Yamaha does a pretty good job hiding their cards until it is time to play.

The 2021's were factory fixed, no recall necessary.
Motorcycle show season coming up (here) Jan. 9, although the manufacturer's show is Feb. 18 for new products..... we should be hearing something soon, 'cuz they'll want our wallets all revved up.
