It may be the broken piece is just out of place, maybe remove the mirror so you can get the two pieces lined up correctly. Not sure it would twist (maybe) but would break first...
Use Permatex instead of JB weld, as it has more holding power
Keep yer stick on the ice........... (Red Green)
Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can sure muffle the sound.

Yup, it's got a twist to it now. Trying to line up the piece forces the body out of its natural position and doesn't allow the holes to line up. I'm gonna JBWeld (cause that's what I have) it in place so it doesn't vibrate so much, and forget about it until I have enough spare cash to buy another POS pot-metal part.

Met up with silverback and another friend. Rode some awesome Arkansas roads in perfect weather. Couldn't ask for a better day on the bike.

Actually yesterday, Installed a MV Motorrad riser. After getting the 2 adapter pieces installed the rest went very quick, about 45 minutes for the entire addition. Initial setting is near all of the way rotated back, I'm 5'8" and this felt good while in the drive way. After a few miles, first impressions, I really like the more upright seating position, I will have to ride a couple of hundred miles to see if I will need to tweak the new handlebar position.

I'm 5'7" and have mine all the way back as well. That is perhaps my favorite addition to the bike that I no longer notice or pay attention to, which is a good thing.
