I am still having trouble deciding what to do with these Yoshimura mufflers. So I am going to run it like this for a few days to see which I like best.

Set the garmin to Avoid Highways, and let it and the iPhone fight it out. I’m somewhere between the Nantahala and heaven. You can’t find a bad route out of Maggie Valley. Great EOM.

Man! What a great bunch of people the FJR riders are.

I showed up at EOM {Eastern Owners Meeting, Maggie Valley, NC} at the last minute, Hardly knew anyone. Begged to go on rides with people who didn't know me. They let me go anyway and I had a BLAST.

6 hours of thrills and chills on Friday. 5 hours on Saturday, and another 6 hours today. 600 or so miles of delicious twistiness in three days.

The BEST part was the friendliness and helpfulness of my FJR brothers and sisters. My wife was feeling badly so my daughter drove up from Laurens SC, where we live, stayed the night with us and drove her back home this morning.

While my daughter was loading up her car, several of the FJR denizens teased her and helped her {said she was parking in "motorcycle only" parking LOL}, and generally made her feel comfortable in the midst of the Chaos which is 70 FJR's heading out to play the hooligan.

She said to me, as I left for my ride. "Your friends are nice", It doesn't get any better than that. Philharmonic

Rode 250 miles today with a buddy. I got a fork seal leak. Ordered the parts. Looking to leave for the mountains 10/3. Got to get moving.

It was excellent to see you again. After only having met you once or twice before this weekend, I think I recognized your voice before I even saw you. Roll safe.

Rainy all weekend, so, unable to wash the Reuben Run/YFO crud off of it yet, I did a TBS, flushed brake and clutch, ordered new brake pads, and researched dark siding...

Thanks, 'Pants! I told her you said hi, and she wants me to pass along her best wishes to The Boys In Louisiana.

I haven't spent much time on the forums recently because I haven't been doing much riding. It's embarrassing how little I've ridden this year. So far I've put 4600 miles on the YZF and a paltry 1300 miles on the FJR! But it's finally cooling off. The high temp today was only 98 degrees! My riding season is about to get started.
