Bob - which compressor did you get? Vertical or Horizontal Tank?

About two years ago, my 20 year old Craps-man crapped out and I bought the Home Depot Husky - homeowner grade. About the same size as yours - 25-ish gallons. The flow rate on the Husky was slightly stronger than the Lowes unit. So far, so good. When I'm using my heavy duty impact to rotate the tires on my truck, she will have to cycle two or three times, but seems to keep up with me.

Didn’t even start it. I cleaned up helmets and visors. And boy did they need it. Frivolously ordered a dark tint shield for the Neotec 2.

Don't need the bike with you. BBQ event is all about the beer, the beef and the bragging anyway. While your Vincent is in great shape and would likely get you there safely, I'm sure a lot of them couldn't make that sort of journey except on a trailer.

Are you making a decent trip out of it to replace the missed CFR rally or is it a just a quick out and back? How's the back - fully recovered?

I’m taking 5 days to get there....4 days to come home...through the Crowsnest pass. My route goes through:
Crowsnest, Creston, Kootenay Bay, Kaslo, New Denver, Nakusp, Vernon, Kamloops, Spuzzum, Mission...a detour to Richmond to shop at Pacific MotoSports, then on to Langley...My return route goes Langley, Castlegar, Kootenay Pass, Creston, Crowsnest, MooseJaw..home

Cav47 wrote: Sat Jul 27, 2019 3:30 pm Was tired of the front end wobble I was getting over 75ish from a crappy balancing job by my local guy who mostly does Harley tires. He is cheap, but as usual, you get what you pay for.

So I got into my stash of Balancing Beads and dropped 1.5 Oz in there. The tire is still in good shape, I want to see if this clears it up or not. If it does, great, if it doesn’t, then I will know I need to buy a balanced. Will report back with results later.

The vibration is reduced after testing today. NOT ELIMINATED like I hoped. Definitely less, but not gone. Well this gives me a great reason to buy a balancer. Prob should start looking for a tire changer too. With 2 bikes and soon to be needing 4 tires changed, I would start off well by taking 80 bucks off whatever I buy (in savings from my local guy).

I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

I realized I'm not riding anymore. This kinda sucks, but facts are facts. My only rides are basically errands. I have less than 2K miles so far this year and am heading out on a cross-country car trip with the wife that traces some of my favorite transcontinental rides. The bike is on a charger and it's summer.
It's a good day to ride

Lose the beads.. I have used a Harbor Fright balancer for several years with no issues. Have since upgraded the bar part, but still use the frame and bearings.

You'd be surprised how close you can get the balance with just your axle and a set of jack stands.
