320 miles today with a couple buddies. Left the house early at 67 degrees. Stayed comfortable until mid afternoon. By far the best July ride I’ve had in many years.

Riding my coworkers 2006 this week. Last night after work I flushed the cooling system and refilled with fresh coolant for him. Hoping to flush the hydraulic fluid this weekend. Rode it to work again today. Giving my 2007 a short break.

Ordered a new sr357. With so much finish wear and tear and mileage, I thought it was time. The old one will probably go another 2 bikes, but the new one will be here Saturday and I’ll pass the old one on at a low price.

I put DB Killers in the Two Bros, and did an oil and filter change. The previous owner's mechanic had the filter tightened to 2000 ft lbs! Son of a bitch! Got Senas mounted in the new helmets. Got Louanne's and my gear laid out for our first ride together in about a year, it seems. Waiting on the sunrise and riders to show. Hope I ride well.

Was tired of the front end wobble I was getting over 75ish from a crappy balancing job by my local guy who mostly does Harley tires. He is cheap, but as usual, you get what you pay for.

So I got into my stash of Balancing Beads and dropped 1.5 Oz in there. The tire is still in good shape, I want to see if this clears it up or not. If it does, great, if it doesn’t, then I will know I need to buy a balanced. Will report back with results later.

I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

Flushed and changed brake fluid on the '06 I'm bike sitting for a coworker. He'd never done it in his 4 or 5 years he's owned it so it was overdue. Clutch master cylinder had a lot of crud in it. Cleaned it out thoroughly before refilling. Took a nice test ride after I was done.

Checked and re-shimmed valves on my buddies Versys 1000. He bought a Hot Cams shim kit, which came with 3 shins for a variety of sizes. 19k miles and he needed only two sizes to re-shim 8 valves. We were two shims short, so I sanded down two of the OEM shims.

I’ll never complain about syncing TB’s on the FJR. Holy cow - was that difficult on the Versys.

Got out for an early morning ride. The heat is returning so earlier is better. Explored a new road that I need to work into my little loop. Finally tried the little coffee shop in the town south of us. Good service, good breakfast and good coffee, it's a winner. Got home and I'll be damned, my vehicles are synchronizing. Looks like the FJR, the GSXS and the truck all need new tires. Sigh.

Had to perform a wee bit of surgery to repair an ailing front brake light switch.

After finishing that little distraction took the FJR out for a romp on my favorite foothill twisty roads!
