Couple of short rides this weekend.

Getting up early and riding before the heat and thunderstorms hit.

Getting ready for my first long trip. Heading to see my son in North Carolina for a few days. Then ride the mountains.

Rode it to work.

Replaced the rear drive gear oil. Couldn't remeber if I did it in the spring and just neglected to write it down or what so I figured it won't hurt anything to change it.

Getting ready to head out Thursday morning. Meeting Ken the HD Guy in Martinsville, VA- spending 2 nights in Cherokee, NC and 1 in West Jefferson, NC.

Looked at the filthy beast as i got in the car. I removed all the padding from my helmet and washed everything washable last night, so it's all drying today. Lets just say the water was dirty and leave it at that, i don't want to loose my lunch.

Yesterday, they called for 40% chance of thunderstorms. I had to take the truck because I had to pick up a pile of 6x6 timbers. Sure enough, thunderstorm showed up while I was picking them up. Got soaked. Meh.

Today, same forecast but hotter. Garunteed the thunderstorm will show up during my commute home if it shows up at all.
