Heading out in twilight.
BRP Highest Elevation
Turkey Creek Overlook
My riding shirt. Both Jwilly and 1911 were on watch today. I kept them busy.
The miles today were about 390.
Jwilly's LD Delivery Special is making room for 1911's FJR and mcy trailer. Griff and I go get those tomorrow so I can begin the cleanup for selling for Maralee.

Thanks for the photos Mark. Why is this thread always so blurry?
I got to be honest. I'm still very fkn angry my friend was taken from me. I was really, really looking forward to years of riding together. Sometimes my rage is too much, but I remember he would never want me to be bummed out, he'd want me to go have fun, so that's what I'll do.
Unfortunately, it'll have to be with you retards.

I am not sad at all, nor do I believe for one second Jason would want us to be. Ride, make jokes, poke fun, enjoy life!
Sunday rode the Foothills loop out of Maggie Valley, Monday rode the Cherohala, Tuesday did the Roan Mountain loop and part of NC 80, today rode the reverse of the Foothills loop and had a blast. I noticed that I seem to be using Almost All of my rear tire.

I understand the anger.
...and ALL the other emotions. You were too crazy busy with life to adequate deal with this. These past two years have been rough...and I appreciate you helping me out where you could. I can't think of you and Jason without THE video of you two railin'. That video is a huge blessing.

Happy Birthday Brother. Miss you dude.
This will forever be my favorite memory. Feeling him tense up as we banked into that first good corner...

I miss that big guy with the big smile. I'd post a photo, but they are already in this thread.
Keep riding that Cherohala Jason!

For those of you not on FB, here is the post with some background.
I went to Atlanta for a school conference and had the option to fly or get myself down there. So I did what any respectable FJR owner would do and rode Thursday. My route was basically this in reverse. I broke off north of Jasper to get on the interstate to make my way down by the airport. I hit ATL traffic at 5:30pm. It took me an hour to get from one side to the other and that included some hooligan stuff Jason would be proud of.
After the conference was over Saturday night, I left ATL Sunday morning and took the long way to Suches. Camping at TWO is always good.
Pants threw me a route together and it was ambitious to say the least. Only crazies like Jason and or Lumberg would try such a thing.
From TWO it included all I could handle. 343 miles of tire shredding corners.
Rt 60 north through Ducktown
Rt 68 to Tellico Plains
Cherohala to 129 north
Dragon north and turn around and run it back south to Deals Gap.
28 to 19 South to Wayah Road
64 west on Murphy toward Blairsville
Finished with Wolf Pen Gap back to TWO.
I only took a few pics, but those of you know, know his favorite place.
I have to confess, this bottle was manipulated…… not with AI either.
I found one that said Mason and one said Joesph. I bought them both and did a little surgery at Turkey Creek.
If you look close, you can see the cut in the ribbon under the “J”. But you all get the significance.
I hope our friend was proud of my riding efforts.
I went back to the campground after stopping at Ingles grocery. Whatever I lacked in riding I made up for it here.
To our Homie.

I heartily approve of the route, the steak, and everything else. Good job Josh!
