Nice brush off John...but as this trip attests, you are the roamin kind. You aren't in the clear yet. However, I will grudgingly take your word until the doktor'z tests say otherwise. Lol.

As John well knows, we are strictly beef and buffalo. I can attest that JREW was in good health and with all digits present and fully functional.

Sunday, June 1st, 2025 - Day 18 - North Conway NH to North Conway NH - 195 miles on a 'Pants recommended and provided route.

Image

Scott and I were at the hospital early to visit JREW, we are known quantities there now, "The Motorcycle Guys", they let us in beforew visiting hours officially start.

We found John up and sitting and in good spirits. The Doc had been in and worked on his finger before we got there and he was encouraged at the progress.

Image

While we were there the first solid results of his infedtion culture came in and they can now target a specific bacteria - Strep "C" - if you google it you'll soon learn it is some nasty crap and not to be toyed with.

Scott and I rode about 200 miles we didn't stop once just let the miles and typical New England White Mountain scenery flow by - "The Road is the Ride, and, The Ride is the Road".

Typical town

Typical scenery today

We stopped in to see John again on our way back to our hotel and he continues to be in good spirits. Bugnatr called while we were there. If you want to call him PM me and I'll send you his phone#.

Tomorrow Scott and I will take a ride on another Pons provided route over into Vermont.

Stay tuned.

Lots of great rides in that vicinity. Most years, I get to northern NH for a few days of riding and camping at least once - often twice. I'm only six hours or so from Gorham NH where there are a couple of my preferred campgrounds.
Northern VT as well with excursions into upstate NY.

With all this talk about sheep, it makes me think of some of the conversations or insults Bust, Yamafitter and Don Stanley once traded.

Not in the same class as Bust. Bust once told me that you should always have your way with sheep on the edge of a cliff, that way they push back really hard.

Good News first - JREW's MRI was "Clean", released from the hospital.
Film at 11:00!

Monday, June 2nd, 2025 - Day 19 - North Conway NH to North Conway NH - 318 miles on a 'Pants provided route into Vermont. 7:26 riding, 1:36 OTB (most visiting JREW this morning) we stopped once for gas and a snack.

Image

5919 miles for the entire trip to date
Image

Scott and i used our "Distinguished Visitor" status to gain early access to JREW this morning. We found him in good spirits, with a changed dressing and already showered and fed by 0900. We had him take a stab at converting todays route directly from Google Maps to a CPX file via some magic only he knows how to work using some magic APP and then Kurvgiver (sp). Scott and I had spent hours trying to get the route to run properly by inputting towns and intersections into the GPS but each time we tried to run it there was little resemblance to the route Joey had sent. John was succesful and transfered the rute to me via email and I ws able to send it to my GPS using Garmin Drive. We had a great ride today, great roads, little traffic, great WEAX, about as much fun as one can have with ones clothes on!

A few pictures from along the way today:

Image
Like this all day long!

Image
Not many vistas like this, usually in the "tree tunnels"

Image
VT-14 was a great road!

Image
I don't know what these are? Maybe a Red Bud? but we saw quite a few and they are spectacular.

Image Another kool old New England house. Sandwich NH is full of these.

Image

Tomorrow is "Get Scott new tires day, the GSA has burned off the rear in 6,000 miles.

Stay tuned!
