This thread looks like it is about student proctologists preparing for prostate exams. It is the fact that they are all smiling that is alarming.
As long as there's not a hand on each shoulder during the exam you should be fine...

I have noticed that forum page loads have been quite slow the last couple of days and a fair number of general errors.
Anyone else seeing this?
General Error

Update.
Worked through both the host support chat and the more prompt "text a friend" (Thanks Designflaw!!) support last night on this issue.
There was/ is a web scraper hitting the site (actually, most of my websites). We blocked the IP (singapore)and the site recovered (performance wise). This morning I saw the same issue, blocked another IP (this one was from Iowa - is craigsreg a closet hacker now??) and we're back.
I'm traveling for work this afternoon to Indianapolis, so I won't be able to monitor the site this afternoon. I'll check it again when I get to the hotel this evening.
Thank you for your patience...
Wayne

There was/ is a web scraper hitting the site
For the unknowledgeable, could you please explain what this is/means?

From the all knowing Wikipedia:
“Scraping a web page involves fetching it and then extracting data from it. Fetching is the downloading of a page (which a browser does when a user views a page). Therefore, web crawling is a main component of web scraping, to fetch pages for later processing. Having fetched, extraction can take place. The content of a page may be parsed, searched and reformatted, and its data copied into a spreadsheet or loaded into a database. Web scrapers typically take something out of a page, to make use of it for another purpose somewhere else. An example would be finding and copying names and telephone numbers, companies and their URLs, or e-mail addresses to a list (contact scraping).“

You blocked the IP's? How on earth will we be able to ask AI how to fix things on Yamaha FJR's if they can't scrape these useful pages?
Or the AI is scraping Wheaties posts to become more effective threadshitters.

You've had 20 years to figure it out. If you don't have it now, you are dumbshit hopeless and I can't do anything to help ya.

What Kevin said.
or - in my own words - asshats in singapore who have nothing better to do that pick a URL (i.e. website) and hammer it (access it) every second with the result in being the site loading errors you saw. Don't ask me why they do it, or how they do it. All I know is that when they do, it makes the site not load, and if I go to one screen in my host dashboard, I can see the IP address numbers they're hitting it from, and in another screen, I can add those numbers to a list, and then they can't get in any longer.
Or - it was broke, and I fixed it (because Tim told me how).
They were probably after your financial and banking data you have stored in your PM inbox...
