Hey Blueridgerider,
Wheaton started a post a while ago for local rides to folks around this area who are on this forum.
I’m trying to post the link to that to share with you (in case you haven’t seen it yet).

Thanks for posting this! I really hope to make some new friends and do some great rides with them.

So have you decided which of the Forums is which yet? Don't be surprised if you find each of the 3 useful in its own way.
At any rate we are glad to have you here.

Welcome from Travelers Rest. I had a little woopsie in March that totaled my 13 and got me pretty, but I'm bout good enough after this pneumonia leaves me. My new 13 is ready to be farkeled and ridden, so that's on the short term list of things to do.
BTW, I can't see any images in your link unless I sign in to something. Glad your initial impressions are good. They match mine of the last 16 years.
Sorry to hear about your acident as well. It sounds as if your trying to get back on your feet from 2 issues but that your close. Seems as if a new 13 just showed up at your door? That will help heal you.
It really wasn't a dramatic accident, I wasn't going fast...but as jwilly said in another thread, I'm not so good at falling, evidently. I'm looking forward to again twist the throttle on some of my favorite roads, and ones far from home.
Edit: Sorry about the hijack...but just so you know, if you ever have a bad day, you needn't worry about these riding buddies having your back.
Sorry to hear about your accident too. A couple of weeks ago I had a large dog run into me on Saluda Dam Rd. Fortunately I didn't go down, he kind of just ran head first into the front left side of my bike. I was going about 50. I reflexively put my foot down and the asphalt slap and twist all just about broke my big toe. The dog's head cracked me right in the knee and did some soft tissue damage. Better now though. Killed the poor dog.
Hope you get better soon.
