Call them up. I know they were going to REALLY REALLY try and get them sold before Feb.

WHEN it comes time for me to shop. IE, not right now. Of course, when I'm ready no one will have any deals. I know how it works. Sigh.

I hear ya on deals. While I did not give my 04 away, I did have to make some concessions because it was the end of January up here and snow is omnipresent.

Is this guy ever going to actually ride this bike? Or is this a Garage Queen?

I know the Previous Owner rode it.

Thank you all for the congrats. I have been doing lots of cleaning, maintaining, and inspecting. I guess some of you old folks could call that foreplay. It has just been too cold out. Plus I didn't have it licensed or insured properly.

It was a trailer Queen when I brought it home too. Temps are gonna creep into the mid 40s for tomorrow. So I am thinking about taking her for little ride.

I really have to be careful with her. Another 15ES owner had his take a nap on him right after he bought it. Worst part was--he was riding her when she took that nap. Talk about embarrassing---she fell asleep during the honeymoon. Don't want that happening to me. His might have only been a day or so old, so maybe I am passed the sleepy stage.

The winter is certainly getting to some of us---judging from the delinquent nature of our posts.

So whadddya sayin', he's good for two strokes and it's all over? :o

Actually, for those of us luckier than those in the south, we get to have a time off season when it's cooler and can plan all next season's adventures.

Someone sounds grouchy. It must be time for his nap! :(

I would love to stay and chat but I am going to ride MY '15ES over to Dad's. It's above 70, the sun is shining...

Cav I could send you a pic of a '15ES being ridden if you like. Just because I care. ;)

Well, temps were in the mid 40s today. Sun was out. Time for a ride. In typical fashion, the daughter started lurking a round the garage and when I pulled the jacket out of the locker--

"Can I go with if you are going for a ride?" I kinda wanted to go by myself since it would be the first ride on Halle. Before I could say "No" she already was in the house.

5 min later, dressed and ready pulling in her jacket.

"What if you get cold?" Was my last ditch effort to go solo.

Daughter " Put your helmet on already, I ain't falling for that one!"

Nothing like getting put in your place by a 14yr old

A couple of pictures from the ride.

Gotta go help with groceries. Be right back.

We rode a mix of known roads to test out the suspension. Mostly traveled on secondary roads-county highways and back roads. Here was very little leaning over. I didn't want to get surprised by anything. These are the type of roads that can have gravel, pot holes, and piles of salt anywhere. Scrolling through the suspension at most cross roads and stop signs left me to understand there is an appreciable difference between settings. Even noticeable at granny speeds. Can't wait for a solo sortie.

Well, a few of my favorite things are the heated seat, grips, and CEE Baileys sport screen. It took a while to get used to all the menu options. Sport mode 2 up on the first ride was not smartest. I felt better after I switched to touring.

Back to the heated seat. Wow, I can see why John selected it. I ran no heated gear for the 2 hour ride. The refinement in the rest of the cycle is apparent everywue. One thing I don't know about yet is the HUGE speedometer. Passenger can see it very easily compared to the 04 tiny numbers. Gotta make sure I keep it reasonable.

Hurray! You are awesome! And even more awesome is the lovely 14 year old daughter.

The bike looks very sinister with that Cee Bailey Sport Shield in the Dark Gray Tint.

It reached 80F for my afternoon ride but I was all by myself.

I like your daughters attitude. A+ Congrats on the ride and the beautiful new bike. Yours looks MUCH better than RFH's bike I must say. Maybe because his ugly mug isn't anywhere near it. Anyway, sharp looking bike that I'm sure you'll be enjoying.

Question: Is the passenger seat heated, or did you let her hiney get cold? :D

Awesome. Super cool that she wanted to tag along with you. Pray that she stays that way! So I take it with the heated seat you didn't have to bother putting a sock on them??

Only the driver seat is heated. She said she could feel some of the heat from it, but not enough. Had she went with a wind proof layer on her legs, she would have been fine. Now remember, this is the girl that admonished me for attempting to deter her with "you might get cold". If you know anything about this particular 14 year old girl, she would rather lose both legs to frostbite and hypothermia than admit she was cold.

No socks were needed NTX. ;). I have a feeling that she will stay interested in hanging out with me---especially if there is adventure involved. She is a restless spirit--- she also likes to push her mothers buttons. I overtly discourage that, however I secretly understand exactly where she is coming from.

Josh enjoy it while you can, My youngest 16 now followed me all over at 14 & I enjoyed her coming along. Then girl changes came about and she was not as comfortable with spending the day with dad all day.

^^^^^ this - 100%.

My kids never expressed an interest in riding, but that's besides the point.

The point is that time goes by like a fart in the wind. I sound like an old man, but it's absolutely true. One day, you are holding her hand at the bus stop, half asleep because you worked your second (or third) job last night until God knows when. You silently praying inside of your head for some sign from above that a day will come when you will have enough money to pay for what these kids need, and some how have SOME time for what YOU need.

Then you blink your eye, and here you are. The kids are grown adults. The world is their oyster and you get to watch from the front row.

Enjoy every single day, Josh. Cherish it like solid gold, my friend.
