I spend most twisty road days in 2nd and 3rd gear near red line. Sounds awesome!

I got bike packing started and reviewed GPS files for an upcoming invasion of the land of the straight and flat.

If it is straight and flat is a GPS necessary? Seems the sun is all one might need. :D

Where I'm going, it probably isn't necessary. Straight, Flat, Boring.

But still on a motorcycle, so better than pretty much anything else you could be doing.

Rode 275 miles yesterday and struggled a bit. I've been fighting a back strain of some kind for about 6 weeks now, and it's quite frankly starting to piss me off. It's not debilitating, but rather bothersome. When I turned 50, the recovery time for these nit picky bullshit has increased exponentially. Guess I've got to pull back all activity for a while. With 7 weeks before the Canadian extravaganza, I gotta heal up.

Anyhoo - I took a few pictures yesterday. Might throw up a simple ride report....

I think those gps files need a second set of eyes to review them.

Just got home from a weekend of Tour of Honor memorial and Pressed Penny Insanity Challenge hunting.732 miles in about 48 hours since Friday afternoon when we got off work. Finished the Tour of Honor Mid-Atlantic region and hope to get the 3rd place trophy. Visited 11 memorials and pressed 8 more pennies.

Oh, took the FJR on the Cape May - Lewes ferry Saturday afternoon. Day 406 in the books.

Rode just over 300 miles with a coworker. We jetted north up the highway to have lunch in Roanoke, VA with Ken the HD Guy then meandered south through and across the mountains on US221 & VA/NC 8 home. Excellent day- no rain, coldest we saw up yonder was about 55*F. Coworker rides a Honda Something-or-Other 1800. He doesn't get out into the hills much so scraping a floorboard now and then was a little unnerving for hm. But at the end he was like a giggly little kid with his first bike at Christmas. I think he's hooked.....

Rode it. Got another hour in on the season. Let's see... Carry the 4.... That makes 2 hours total!

My timing is shit, my muscle memory needs some work. I need me some SEOR. I'll take it easy on the Sat. I should be back to form by Sunday.
