I don't mess around much with a persistent infection - things can get serious VERY fast. If the redness is moving toward the core at any pace, it's immediate medical attention for me. I think ya'll made the right choice to get it looked at. It's too bad you had to leave Canada to do so.
Last year, I took my wife and kids to the top of Mt. Washington. That will be the last time I go up there by vehicle. The cost for the 4 of us was like $100.00. Ridiculous. Even a motorcycle is like $35.00. The road going up there is private, but the park at the summit is public. F-ing scam....
I found DOZENS of views in New Hampshire just as good or better last year....

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. Seems like somebody could get in a lot of trouble poking a finger around in THAT group.

Well...it IS the middle finger, and it is inflamed...so I would have to second that opinion. Lol.

John's tracker shows him at the summit of Mt. Washington. I'm pretty sure I just saw 'em on their webcam.
Hello. I'm BikerGeek and I'll be your stalker today.

They can do the Cats/Dacks on the way back to Spearfish...or they could if they planned it right.

Sometimes when you bet on the Come it pays off!
Friday May 30th 2025, Bangor ME - North Conway NH via the summit of Mt Washington (Bucket List Item) - 267 miles, 6.3 hours riding, 2.7 hours screwing around off the bikes.
We got a late start from Bangor in good WEAX, selected GPS "No Highways" and it immediately put us onto I-95? What's a guy gonna do?
Its New England, lots of small towns, traffic, tree tunnel roads, and a few brave souls to act as Rabbits for us once in awhile.
We had researched the forecasted WEAX at the summit of Mt Washington, it looked like clouds/showere would move in around 1500. Our ETA was 1500. We arrived and paid our $36 each to ride the road and received our stickers "This Bike Climbed Mt Washington". No one said anything to us about a speed limit, Scott took this to mean that we were free to ride. Suffice to say, we may have been in violation.
When we arrived you could see clouds/fog/rain headed in from the North but there were still good views.
We left the mountain and had some mediocre BBQ in Gorham NH, once again demonstrating the difficulty Yankee's have in making good BBQ. Then we took a backroute to North Conway for the evening. The WEAX forecast for tomorrow

is 100% chance of rain. We needed a day off the bikes so we booked a room for tonight and tomorrow (Saturday) nights and are ensconced in the Comfort Inn and Suites until Sunday morning. Visitors welcome, call first.

Glad you got to knock that off your list. Some pretty nice views!
But BBQ in NH??? I suppose you would purchase Cod in NE??? Lol. Im just amused that you ordered bbq in NH, then complained about it. Lol
Best wishes on the remainder of your trip!

John Wilson, JREW, needs some assistance. His right middle finger is seriously infected. We are at the ER in North Conway NH and they are searching for a bed to admit him as they are full here.
Problem - we need to take care of his FJR
Discussion - Bike and gear are at the Comfort Inn North Conway today and tomorrow. They are talking about sending him to Portsmouth NH but nothing definite yet.
Solution - looking for someone to assist in transportation and storage of FJR and Gear until John can ride again
My phone six oh five six four too six too six ate.
Thanks
John L.

Assistance located through the BMW MOA Anonymous APP. A fine gentleman that lives 10 minutes away in Conway NH will store John's bike and gear.

John admitted here in North Conway for IV Antibiotics and a surgery consult in the morning. Scott and I will hang for awhile to see how it all shakes out. Day rides in the White Mountains, things could be worse.
Depending upon John's prognosis we will determine what's next for us.
