Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Take off the hard cases and your top box and the FJR no longer looks like an old man's touring bike.
Rode with a passel of Aunt Kelly's friends last Labor Day weekend. 'Fully dressed' for Saturday. Stripped her down for Sunday's ride (the bike, you perverts) and got a very different vibe. Riding without luggage also gives ME a different vibe.

I still have an XS11! Great bike, but aged. FJR is the perfect replacement.wheatonFJR wrote:I had an XS11 when I was 20.JustinNck1 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2017 8:15 am It's always cool to see/hear about younger FJR riders. My XS 11 was stolen out from under me after only 11 months of ownership by some snaky, no good, low down, bastard, bandit Okies in 1980.silverback wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2017 12:40 pmI still have an XS11! I hope they died painfully.
Was my dream bike as a 20 year old...took lots of solo adventures on it as Al Gore was a little slow on developing the neenernet and so no online forums back then. Bike was purchased with savings I had collected during working high school and college. Since I had dropped out of college at that time, I thought I'd put the money saved to good use.
As much as I longed for that XS11 after it was stolen, the FJR just beats all. I can't imagine having a better bike.

Rode mine to work. 62F this morning, 82F this afternoon. Sometimes the happiness of knowing I get to ride that wonderful machine home at the end of the day is the medicine that helps me work the entire day.

Rode it to and from work.
FedEx delivered my replacement Cee Bailey 19" Sport Shield, Dark Gray Tint. So I removed the Cee Bailey 21 inch and slapped the 19" shield into place. Ahhhh.

I gave mine a well deserved rest yesterday after 11 days of outstanding and loyal service out on the road. Today, the filthy bug dna and road grime infested pig is going to make a trip to the wash.

Rode it to work, and dropped in behind a green sportbike for about 6 miles. He/she was well-behaved, meaning stayed at or below 80 mph in the freeway HOV lane.

What? You didn't wheelie past him in the same lane while flipping him off?

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Today I gave my FJR the day off. After 6 1/2 days and just about 2000 miles of fine riding in Arkansas and Louisiana, I felt she deserved a much needed rest. So I left her to sit in her filth quietly in my shop.
Oh and BTW - my camera says I took about 300 pictures....

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Wheaton I am pretty sure that pic was photoshopped. No way an FJR could pop a wheelie.
