It'll easily carry tire tools and my Cyclepump air pump. I can mount it behind my left pannier rack so it's pretty much always there whether I'm running any of my other bags or not.

Also, it mounts to my Mojavi bags on the 500 easily enough if I need just a little bit more storage.

I'll probably never use it as a fender or number plate bag though. I have a fender bag on my DRZ for some tools, and while it's never caused me any issues, I've also never liked it there either for no particular reason.

Nope, the FJR has shit tons of space to carry little bits of tools with ease. The FJR was, however, the vehicle to go pick it up. The FJR is perfectly at home on all of the Dallas elevated roadways.

LOL, I love the jerkey, but have never had much of an affliction with the smokes, tequila or weed. I do have a self-admitted addiction to different bags though, and it's kind of a problem. My wife does this every time I get a new one ->

Messing about, just cruising around. TPMS warned me of rear tire impending danger. Had to plug 2 holes. Now- learn from my mistake:

every spring I check my underseat Slime compressor for function. Every year I replace the little tube of glue. Every couple of years I replace the sticky strings. But what I did NOT do was actually hook the compressor up to a tire to inflate it. So when I did today I found the air hose leaked under pressure so I could not inflate.

Almost! The rest of the story:

I was in Boondocks, NC. The next nearest place for air was 13 miles. I could pump up to about 11 psi, even with the leaky hose. The tire would hold this pressure fine so I was going to gingerly ride around to the other end of the parking lot where the pay-for-air pump is but it had an "out of order, sorry" sign on it. Not many folks around. I sent out a text, a couple guys responded. One drove 36 miles with his battery powered Milwaukee compressor. Took about a minute to air up, we waited a few to see if it would drop, it didn't, and he followed me home just in case but the tire never lost a single psi. This morning it's down to 36 from 42.

Luckily I already have a new RS3 in the shop that was going to be put on this week for SEO. I search the web for just a replacement hose from Slime but no-go. They've changed their fittings. I sent them an email and said screw it and ordered a motopumps https://www.motopumps.com/shop/air-shot-2. They list spare hoses on their site .

My Slime pump blew the hose off the pump body. It would somewhat work if I held the hose in place. I may look into seeing if I can find some sort of adhesive (plus clamp or zip tie) that will hold it and keep it as a backup but I ended out buying a pump with an internal rechargeable battery that will also run on 12V if the battery is depleted. Much faster and quieter than the old Slime pump and has a built-in gauge (my Slime doesn't) and automatic shutoff at preset pressure (not especially accurate, but prevents a severe overfill). Used it yesterday to add about 3 or 4 PSI to four 19" SUV tires as I changed back to summer tires and a few PSI to my FJR and F700GS tires. Lots of battery power for that.

I use my portable pump(s) semi-regularly to adjust tire pressures in vehicles (and would even if I had a proper compressor). I always KNOW that they will work when they may be needed on the road.

I like the convenience of battery but I got the one that can also run on 12V if the battery gives up. I haven't had issues with anything battery-powered on the bike - MP3 players, GPS, power banks, camping lights, Bluetooth speakers etc.

On my way out of town this afternoon, I dropped off D-eagle's freshly mounted PR4. I was running late... Hope there's no porch pirates around...

I went looking for my off idle stumble. I was going to clean the throttle body throats. What I found was the injector lower seals (rubber gaskets) all 4 were cracked and split. Possible leak. Now I have to wait for the $10.00 X 4 to be delivered. The upper gaskets are $12.00 per piece.
