Rode it to work. 12 degrees this morning when I got there. Thank goodness for heated gear! Yesterdays predicted snowfall turned out to be pretty much a bust. Light dusting of maybe half an inch. Roads clear and dry this morning. Day 318 complete.

Sounds like you're in the DC region...that's the very same "forecast" I had.

Rode it to work. First ride in over 3 weeks; interfering causes include snow, freezing rain, a niece's wedding, and a miserable ten days with Flu type B that kicked my ass.
Felt good to be aboard, despite temps below 40F.

Rode it to work, again. Day 320 consecutive. Weekend forecast looks acceptable so far. Just have to get through February and early March......

Dilly Dilly, BC!!!! Ride on, my brother.
Rode about 225 miles today with MikeP. Windy and upper 40s. Yeah, I plugged in the jacket, Pants gets chilly easily. Long way to Simmsport for the fried shrimp salad at the Family Grill Restaurant (Excellent!!). Then blasted down the levee road blowing the carbon out on some 80 mph sweepers and about a buck five on the straights. Had I known my front tire was as toasted as it is, I would have been pulled way back. Fortunately, my luck was running. And luck is a good thing, any way you can get it.
Tomorrow, I order a new tire. And I'm going to write an unusual ride report. Stay thirsty, my friends....

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I forgot a had a front tire take off in my shop, so I had that one mounted. I don't think this set will get me to June for the start of CFR, but we'll just cross that bridge when we get there.
Changed the oil (right at 4K) while I was at it. Found just a little bit (maybe a pin needles worth) of what looks like brass dust in the bottom of the pan. Oh shit - maybe I should take the motor down and look for the culprit? I mean, it's got 38K miles on it and I'm sure it's about to let go any day now.

Saturday: rode 575 miles to Tybee Island and back, collecting a bunch of BMR points. Didn't get above 40F for 2 hours in the morning, and dropped that low again for the last hour.

Looked longingly through my garage security camera, been months since I've been able to leave KSA. @Wheety: I miss buying rum. The Magic Kingdom is a dry country. If you want rum you gotta make your own.

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.
Yeah, I ride motorcycles. I know why dogs put their heads out of the car windows.
Yeah, I fly hang gliders (3000 hrs.+). I know why the birds sing.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Rode it to work again. Day 324 consecutive safely in the books. Tomorrow's forecast currently not looking too good for my area. Will be keeping an eye on the forecast later after work and may just have to go Paul Revere again and do a quick midnight ride. We're looking at somewhere from 1-4" of snow but of course that's all a guess on the part of someone supposedly smarter than me. Keeping my fingers crossed. I made 294 days last time in my first attempt at this so I've already ridden more consecutive days this time but would LOVE to make it a whole year.
Thanks to everyone for the cheering on and encouragement!

Installed T-Rex frame sliders, helmets locks (Townsend's) on both sides, Lightning Strike brake light, and RealTime reflective decals for the saddlebags.

Nice, I just ordered some this past week for the GSX-S. Thanks to talking to them at the motorcycle show they gave a discount and since their facility is here in Dallas near my work I'll get to save on shipping by picking up there when they are ready.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Saturday made 328 days. Took a quick ride in the morning before meeting a coworker to go to a bike show in Timonium, MD. Took his truck as rain was forecast starting around 11 am and expected to last 24 hours. Today rain let up around noon so I went out on still wet roads with temps around 40 to put day 329 in the books. Forecast for this week is temps in the 40's possibly hitting 60 on Thursday.
