Ordered new tires for EOM. Will install them in 2 weeks. PR2's again for the 11th time. Maybe someday I'll try something different.......

I'm still loving PR2's too! As long as I can still buy current, I'll still buy em! Rode her on a nice little fun run after I got up. It was nice to just take a nice ride and not be headed to work.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Just to update, yes we were fortunate enough to meet up with the wonderful Gixxerjasen. I appreciate his patience with me. I had some stuff going on.
We rode from South Louisiana to Deadwood SD and until we hit Rapid City SD we only had about 30 total Interstate miles. Did this across LA, TX, OK, KS, NE, and into SD in 3 days.
We are happily just outside of Deadwood SD and Pop is doing great. He is showing his 74 years when he gets off the bike but looks pretty darn solid riding.
Will update later and hope to put together a decent RR.

Haven't been on my bike in about 2 weeks. Saving tires for YFO/EOM. Probably a mistake given I've got freshies in the shed. Pays your money, takes your chances.

2 Weeks! That's half of your summer. Otherwise, I agree with you. Tread is SOOOO overrated.

Hey, if I rolled the dice and get snake eyes... I'll spring for a pair of tires in the States. No big whoop. Its just hurtful to remove a set of tires that are only about half done.

Rode it to work, turned 125,000 miles on the odometer
. Today a quick wash & start packing. Ken the HD Guy & I are going to Philadelphia to do some touristy stuff. Meeting others, Rob the Indian Guy and his girly friend Saturday for eats and sights. Should be fun! Some minor details here -> https://www.fjrowners.com/forums/18-mee ... 5-8-a.html

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Pop is doing well, some back pain. Moved the bars backward on the HeliBar Bridge after today’s ride. We did the Badlands of South Dakota and had to ride I-90 back from Wall SD. That sucked.
All good so far.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Just installed a Shinko 705 front on my FJR. Then found out 4 pads on one of front rotor almost gone. Was planing on cross country trip and camping (gravel roads, reason for 705 front, CT on back). Only had two spare break pads on hand, ordered 4 pads on amazon prime and should be here Saturday and now plan to leave Sunday morning instead of Saturday. Also order 4 more pads for about $20 cheaper on ebay arriving sometime next week while I'm gone to have on hand next time. Go through a set of front pads each year due to a lot of sprited riding in Western NC.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I plugged the Optimate into the FJR battery today to keep it topped up. That bike hasn't turned a wheel since May 24. I hate letting it sit that long, but this has been a pretty long and nasty-hot summer. It's just not fun riding in the heat. I've taken my YZF out for four brief rides since early June...that thing is carbureted, and if any bike gets run to circulate the fuel, it's that one. I have to be out the door at sunrise and back in the garage by 10am.
This will be the first year in the last 10+ years that I haven't planned a big fall tour. I really, REALLY love heading out in late Sept/early Oct for a week or two...but this year I've got airplane stuff to do instead. Something has to give to keep the wife happy, so a big fall tour is out of the question. But there's always next year.
