BkerChuck,

Have you seen this thread? Looks like a fine idea, to me. The guy can probably mod your part in the same way, with zerk fittings.

Yeah, I ride motorcycles. I know why dogs put their heads out of the car windows.
Yeah, I fly hang gliders (3000 hrs.+). I know why the birds sing.

Damm Bob - noticed you are putting the miles (or KMs) on the bike lately. Good on ya!

Replaced my lower right fork LED light, 3 of the 4 LEDs in the unit were fried. My fault.

With standard suspension the lower fork stanchion if fixed with the axle and moves as a unit; with the ES the axle and stanchion move separately. The LED was mounted to the axle area and the connector for the wire was tied to the stanchion. Every time the fork moved it flexed the wires going into the connector and the wires eventually broke at the connector. I knew the light was intermittent but didn't have the time to fiddle with it and expected the problem to be simple and easy to fix. Apparently the wire's intermittent connection led to the LED's demise. I dressed the wires to the new LED so that there is enough slack to flex and the wires going into the connector can't flex.

The only problem I had was discovering that it's time to get my eyes checked, my depth of field is quite diminished and I hadn't noticed it 'til now.

Today I rode from Moose Jaw to Coleman Ab..699km, about 7 hrs. When I got to my B&B I parboiled my aching back in the hot tub for 45 minutes..When I started to think about getting out I turned and saw a beautiful fully grown deer laying in the grass behind me..

Well Pants..my back is finally better..and because I missed out on CFR2019 because of it, I’m making up for lost time by going to a Vincent Owners Club BBQ just outside of Vancouver..

Bob - ^^^^^ LIKE!!!!

Alan - I've had my aux. LED lights fork mounted on the lower unsprung part (conventional forks) for 3 bikes now. I was always concerned about that, but (knocking wood) so far, so good.

An easy 266km today from Coleman Ab. to Creston B.C..+33c temps meant several stops for gatorade. I found out that Spotwalla doesn’t work in the mountains...wife was convinced that I had broken down..

Spotwalla via a cellphone app, I assume? I use Bubbler GPS on my android phone. The GPS on the phone is pretty good and very rarely is unable to get a signal. The app will store the "spots" if out of cell range and send them once it gets cell or wifi coverage. However, if someone is tracking you via Spotwalla, they might have to wait a while to fill in the blanks.

No. But I did ride up on the aftermath of a multi county high speed pursuit. Cars positioned periodically with stop sticks at the ready. I thought “This is what it must be like when jwilly rides to work.”
