I'm probably good enough to ride, but I think I'm coming down with something bad, achey Crap from sitting in the middle airplane seat between Greenville and Yuma last week.

Goddamn I hate flying. Not because of flight but because of the freaking Petri dish I’m exposed to.

I’m glad you’re good enough to ride but thwarted at the last minute by opportunistic infection. Sadistic.

Rode my coworkers 2006 to work. Watching the SPOT track as my 2007 is on it's way back to me after the IBR. Should have it back in my possession late afternoon/early evening and help JD Smith load his wounded BMW for a trip to the dealership.

Not today but Saturday I took the FJR for a nice little back roads day ride. It's pretty hot now so most day rides start early and end about mid-day.

Then I changed the oil. Decide to just change the oil while the bike was in the cargo trailer. The cargo trailer has lights and AC!!!
Then I washed it and put it away for another week.

Rode the Valkyrie home since it needed to be relocated. It was a very nice ride early. Weather was cool and not many cars. From 10:30 on it was a little warm, but not hot enough to take the fun out of the ride. Stopped at my favorite Mexican Restaurant on the way home.

Then watched MotoGP, which sucked if you are a Rossi fan.

Forks were leaking a little bit. When I did my steering head bearings I made me a fork mate type tool and tried to clean it up but I think I made it worse. My neighbor loaned me one of these things yestarday.

https://www.amazon.com/Risk-Racing-00-1 ... 0068G164E/

That thing is slick. It works easy, has nubs to help push it around, and it dug out a ton of goop and crap. I will be ordering one for myself.

So...I rode it to work today and don't see any new seepage. We'll be keeping an eye on it. I'd rather not send them off right now as a lot of things going on. In fact, today was the last day I can ride it to that work. ;)

Put a set of rear brake pads on, then removed the wheels in prep for a new set of T31's. Hoping they last me for the next couple of weeks.

If you are coming this way, you know you are always welcome here. If you need anything, hit me up. I am kinda on summer vacation!

Have a great ride.

No siree. I was smart and saved my box from Traxxion knowing I'd need it at some point in the future. The FJR forks will go to them for rebuild. On top of my previous adventure, I doubled down on Traxxion when I got my forks with AK20's in them, so those will need service too.

Rode the coworkers 2006 to work this morning. JD Smith dropped off my 2007 at my house last night around 5:45 and picked up his wounded R1200GSA. He hung out for a little bit thanking me repeatedly and asking what he owed me for the use of my bike. Owed me? Nada! That's just not how this works. He did leave me several nice things including a new bike cover he bought to keep my bike protected while it was at the hotel. A very nice folding aluminum ramp he bought just to load my FJR into the rental truck and then his bike into the truck for the trip to a BMW dealership. A nice stool/dirt bike stand he'd bought for some reason. He said if I didn't want them to pass them on to someone worthy but he wasn't giving them to the BMW dealership. LOL.

Best of all, an IBR long sleeve t-shirt, ball cap, and his rider's lanyard from his rider ID! Fortunately for JD he did buy the extended warranty on his bike so he's covered there. I've asked him to let me know what they find so I can report it here. I might never do the IBR myself but at least my bike finished it!

Put new tires on, forgot to balance the front, took it off again, balanced it, and reinstalled... At least my tires are facing the right direction.... I think.
