Yeah, I get he has unpredictable hours, but really, man ... on a Tuesday?

Bet you saw fewer than 20 bikes and the weather was absolutely perfect, wasn't it? <jealousy meter continues to climb ...>

Whatever Mr. Lumberg does, I'm sure that having Tuesdays to ride are the minimum recompense deserved.

Not sure about what he does now, but I think that what he's had to deal with in the past, it's the minimum deserved.

It was Monday. Four or five times a year I may work a Saturday spraying certain candidates for a certain job with facemelt. Also known as pepper spray. This coming Saturday is one of those days. Monday was my compensation.

I’d say I’m getting the best of both days...

Traffic on the dragon was near nonexistent. Weather was just cool enough to enjoy wearing gear. I was jealous of myself.

I rode mine somewhere besides just to work yesterday. For some reason I am suddenly having issues getting my Photobucket and this forum to cooperate otherwise I would post some pics from my ride yesterday.

Rode my coworker's '06 to work this morning enjoying the "temporary custody" of having a second FJR in the garage.

Located the oil leak issue that cropped up on my '07 en route to SEOR. Cam cover gasket had a small area that had become dislodged just slightly but enough to leak and make a mess of things. Removed cam cover, again, and reinstalled the gasket with a little RTV to hold it in place better and started putting it back together last night after work. Need to get some more antifreeze on my way home and finish cleaning up and reinstalling the fairing panels.

RFH, I just saw a posting from another member here about Photobucket acting up again. I've switched to Smug Mug myself.

I played hooky today and rode 2 hours south (my route took just over 3 hours) to my favorite BBQ joint in the state, Big W's Roadside BBQ. This guy has brisket you dream about!
His sandwiches come in 1/3 lb, 1/2 lb and 1 1/3lbs.
I got home around 2:30 and did an oil change and gear oil change.Image

R/R - I gotta ask, which version did you get? It doesn't scale in the photo like 1.33 pounds, and yet I can't help but think that if it were me, I'd have to try the 0.5 pound just on a matter of principle.

Good brisket makes your mouth water at 6:45 in the morning. JSNS.....

That's the 1/2 lb. And it comes with a side of coleslaw. I've never tried the 1.33.

Rode it to work TWICE this week. First week of the year where all three zones showed fair weather (temps in the 50’s and no rain).

I live in Albany NY and commute 50 miles thru the Catskills so this time of year is still variable between the valleys and the mountains in the middle.

Started practicing trail breaking and instantly got a permagrin for the day - both days...

Why didn’t I figure out trail breaking sooner?!

Planning on a ride down to Hudson with my wife this Saturday - great ride and a fun town to walk around in.

Solidified plans for going from Americaide to Laconia in early June - anyone attending either event?

Gonna try this again...

Tuesday I had to make a Choice:

Image

It was difficult but I think I chose correctly:

Image

The Mississippi River is very high, you can see the structure of the cargo ship ABOVE the levee to the right.

Image

I crossed the Sunshine Bridge:

I was headed into Pierre Part:

I needed some rope from the Pierre Part Store:

I don't think Road Kill looks like this everywhere:

I was generous and let my son do some fun riding that evening:
