Rode into work again this morning. Pretty cold out today only about 23-25 degrees on the ride in. Day 358 safely recorded. Forecast calling for snow sometime tonight into the morning. Hoping they're wrong like last week.Gonna be really pissed if Mother Nature screws me over this close to the end.

Uncle Hud, what are the green markers? Breadcrumbs or speed at that location?

I road the FJR about 260 miles today to Gorge Dam near Newhalem Washington getting to ride a small piece of the North Cascades Hwy. It was my first real ride of the season. Lucky me.
The year I am riding Dam Tour 2018 where we ride to 16 Dams on Washington and Oregon and 4 bonus dam. As if I need a dam reason to ride yet riding to dams means riding around rivers - usually a good thing.
Here is my photo of Gorge Dam.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
If you view it on Spotwalla, you can click on any marker to get a data window with lat/lon, direction of travel, time, and — if I allow it— speed. (Not for this example, at least, not now.) Zoomable and pannable. I have a "security zone" around my brother's house, as I do for every place that's private, so the tracker doesn't show anything within that boundary. What do the green markers represent? (paraphrased)
The green markers have a message on the bottom of the data window. For example, #2, near Thomson, says, “Hey! Forgot to turn it on!”
Nice to have this data after the ride, so I can verify it actually was Vogtle Nuke Plant that I saw near Waynesboro, or to memorize the name of a road that’s worth doing again.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Rode it to work again. Thankfully the local weather guessers have pretty much missed the mark again. They were concerned about snow for the past 2 days but my area only got a very light dusting. So.....the riding streak continues! Day 360 safely down and only 5 more to go for my first ever "perfect year"!
BTW, I will be continuing the daily rides to see just how far I can take it.Not sure how willing I may be as time goes on to go full Paul Revere and get up at midnight after a certain point....

Rode it to work again. Like so many other days. One coworker, Mike our resident Harley rider, rode in today as well. 28 degrees this morning but windy. Calling for in the 40's later today. Day 362 in the book with clear weather forecast through Monday. Only 3 more days to make my first ever 'perfect year".

If my math is correct, "Clear weather forecast through Monday" means 3 days from now, we are going to have quite a celebration!!!

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Oddly enough a coworker just came and got me to go look out the window and it's snowing like crazy right now. Bike is almost white with a dusting of snow on it. LOL. Not to worry it's warming up, stupid PA weather....

Tried to set the clock to Daylight Savings Time. Or Eastern Standard Time. Or whatever time it is one hour ahead of what the FJR clock shows.
Failed. Will try again this afternoon. <sigh>

If you live in the northlands and don't ride much in late fall and winter you can just leave it set to daylight time. No need to RTFM!

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Sigh, seems the oil change stars have aligned. The FJR was a few hundred past due. One commute this week on the GSX-S1000 will complete the break in and I'll need to change the oil there. The dirt bikes all need fresh oil for the new season. My truck is a few hundred past due. Thank goodness my wife's car is good. oh wait, the computer says it's now due too.
Sigh, FJR goes first. Got her oil change done today and ready for spring(ish) weather of commuting this coming week. Next weekend is the GSX-S and maybe the truck. Car still actually has a little time, it's the preliminary warning though.
Gonna be a fun trip to Wal-Mart with the oil recycle containers.

Boy O Boy - won't it be nice when I get to the point when I don't care what time it is or what time zone I'm in? I'll eat when I'm hungry, sleep when I'm tired, and I'll do whatever the heck I want to do whenever I dam well feel like it.
It won't be long, but I'm getting antsy...

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Earliest for me is 6yrs, latest is 8yrs. Might as well be twenty years, as it seems soooooo far away.
On another note, I finally got both horns hooked up today, and it went smoother than what I thought it would. So with the extra time I had, I put the Delkevic's on. I didn't realize how much I missed hearing that beautiful tone.
50-70's tomorrow, so it'll be an all day ride with the Mrs, and DST makes it even better!
