Maybe. I hope you have a very low co-pay.

Broke the left hand stay a couple years ago and fixed with a reinforcement. The right hand stay broke last weekend right through the bolt holes - no EASY way to fix it. I also cracked the cowling and had to go into my Clear Water harness, so what the hell - lobotomy time.

Yeah, but the good thing is I am an expert at front end lobotomy now. Mcatrophy's tutorial was good, but there were a couple of things I did different that I think made it easier.

I took the long way home from work to the tune of a bit more than 277 miles. It sure was nice to go for a extended ride. I needed the get away.

I installed COPs on my Gen I to fix a stumbling issue that was going on when I bought it last summer.

Last weekend, I gave it a wash and things got worse. Tried taking it out on a run and had no power like it was running on three cylinders.

4 spark plugs, 4 COPs, one new wiring harness and now things are silky smooth.

Going on a shakeout run tomorrow - just in time for Americade in upstate NY this week!

I put on the in mid size VStream and took it for a ride. Slightly better in the up position over my Givi. Not an order of magnitude or anything. At least its ugly.

Jury is out whether I keep it or not.

Sounds more like old plug wires being affected by moisture. I would just sprayed them with WD40 and then tried the bike out to see of the stumbling stopped. If it does, change wires. Its a common thing. Not as cool as putting cops on a Gen 1 though. They're more use to trying to catch them.

Sometimes, you gotta take the plug adapters off, trim the wires, spread the strands, reinstall... gets you fresh connection after years of neglect and pulling on them...... nuthin' like COPS though.

Gave it an apology pat on the tank for taking the Ural to work today.

Had to wrap the Ural headers down to the O2 sensors to get them hot enough to work correctly and fix some funky EFI fueling weirdness. Painted the header wrap this morning and needed to get it hot to cure the heat paint fully, so I took it to work instead of the FJR.

Added a dynaplug kit to my tool set, with a few extra plugs. I've been riding way to long without issue to keep chancing not having a way to fix a flat.

Still need a compressor, OH which way to go on this, frugal of fancy??

Rode yesterday and will again today.

Added a first aid kit, compressor, zip ties, bungee cords, shop towels, led light, multi tool and plug kit under my seat, then took it the bike on a 90 mile shake down tour and then gave it a wash.
