Did a TBS. It seems as though they are barely required even after considerable mileage and a valve adjust.

I know somebody, no names, that's never done a TBS on their Gen1.

I do them once a year. Makes the idle smooder.

If it makes the idle smooder, I want none of that. However, I might be tempted if it made the idle smoother.

Walked past it in the garage..drove the cage as usual.

Waiting for Friday to do some fun riding with Dave and Sylvia...if they aren't all "ridden out" by this time in their three week trip.

Rode mine to work in the sub Arctic temps for the second day in a row. 51F yesterday, 56F this morning. Thank goodness for grip heaters. BRRRR!

Supposed to be riding the BMW instead but the FJR is just so much nicer. And Faster. And Smoother. And More Beautiful.

Wish I had your BMW while my FJR sits waiting on it's shock. Confirmation today that UPS successfully delivered it and didn't lose it.

I think we've already established that....

Installed MCL Peg Lower-ers. Have to work a little on the shifter height- it's too high. And decide if I'm going to add an extension to the brake pedal or just heat-n-bend it out some.

Investigated why my Givi V47 trunk lock is becoming a PITA to turn. It had gotten to the point that I always have to jiggle the key up & down, in & out in order to get it to work and I was getting tired of it. Looking around with stronger-than-normal reading glasses I found 2 Phillips head screws on the inside.
Image

So I took them out. The entire latching and releasing mechanism then just wiggles out the back. Watch out for the trunk relaese button- it just sits in there and will fall out if you turn the assembly over.
Image

Then I saw a nut, loose, right where the lock tumbler is. So I tightened it. Normally I would put some blue LockTite on it but I didn't have any handy. Voila!! problem solved.

I put a mediocre polish/cleaning on two Cee Bailey windshields for a Gen2. I put them in a box. I put a PC-V in that same box. I left that big box at the local UPS store.

Some poor soul somewhere...
