Not sure but I am thinking some different tire lube might make it easier? Just saying.

Almost sounds like he'd rather stick to his spoo method??

He's right, those T30's can be a beatch, especially if not warmed up like hot. Clamps to squeeze, and actually put some lube in the middle of the wheel as well.

I always lube up the well as well. I'm not a newb to mounting tires, it's like 80% technique, and 45% leverage. But these were taking me to a whole new level of pissed off.

Just fair warning to anybody else thinking their going to spin on a set of T30s. I'm getting to old for that kind of shit. I'm aching all over today.

Spooned on a PR2 Rear and T30 front. Both went on easy peasy with the nomar and 80 degree weather and sunshine.

However the front is taking too much weight so I will break the bead and try again tomorrow. Then I need to clean that beautiful 13. It's been awhile with all the riding.

Motorcycle with gear - $18,000.00

Gasoline for Travels - $2.40 per gallon

Beer - $9.00 per 6-pack

(ahem... notice I said "Beer", not horse piss)

Sitting down in the evening after a couple hundred miles of riding drinking a buddy's beer..... priceless.

Now we mustn't be a Beer Snob Mr. Pants.

With the right friends after a Good Day, or even after a Bad Day, I find it is not the quality of the beer. It is the quality of the friends that is important. I would rather drink a warm can of Milwaukee's Best with my closest friends than sip a perfectly chilled bottle of CaneBrake with folks I don't like.

Of course right now I am sipping an excellent cup of straight black Community Café Special typing to a bunch of Good Friends. Does not look like much FJR activity will happen today. I have 3 sacks of crawfish to boil and I am supposed to pick them up in about 47 minutes.

Happy Easter my Friends

Mounted a new T30 EVO GT (replacing a normal T30) on the rear over the weekend, finally matching the front. Bought some spark plugs too...need something to do at Bob's this coming weekend. ;)

I'm liking the T30 series; they stick good and are cheaper than the PR4's...

Even with Bungie's bitching, the T-30s are the best tires I've tried so far. Griff put them on for me, so it wasn't hard at all.

Hope you like your GT-spec rear, Burnspot.

WOW, that is superb news.
I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

I'm curious to see how long the GT spec lasts; the front EVO GT still looks new after a few thousand miles.

Ordered a new Dunlop RS3 rear.

Current tire inventory for 2017:
2 T30 EVO Rears
1 T30 EVO Front
1 RS3 Front
1 RS3 Rear

The bike has a new T30 Front on it and a worn out PR4GT Rear.
