I rode it to work in the sub-Arctic temps (low 40sF) and when I got home I washed it.

Rode an easy 200 miles north this afternoon after work. Nice easy ride in zero traffic.

Found out my feejer runs just fine in 26f weather, all 200+ miles of it. And Gerbing is my new favorite term.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Got in about 175 miles tonight after parent teacher conferences that got done at 7:00. I wanted to be in the road by 7:30, but it was loser to 7:45 Left the house at 39 and it dipped about 2 degrees per hour. Lowest I saw was 33 but just a few seconds of that. Looking forward to the warm up tomorrow and heading south.
Got the first of 3 ferries on the Illinois river. Next up will be the Mississippi and finally the Peel ferry.
See you all in The Ozarks.

Rode it to Harrison. Enjoying the life with Mike, P PoolBoy, and Pants. We are enjoying the finer things in life while some light rain splashes around our covered porch.

Riding today with David on Dacusville Rd, 276, Crab Creek Rd, 225, Saluda Rd, 176, 414, and Old White Horse Rd.
Not a long ride, but filled with fun. His 25th birthday tomorrow. The FJR definitely is not an old man's bike.

And while I completely get your point, the stuff I have been dealing with on the '14 FJR at Dad's house makes me think...
FIFY And no offense intended to our female riders either.

When I said old mans bike, I meant it different than how you took it. I meant it is not ONLY an old mans bike....like some might suggest.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I do get it my friend. At 25 not many folks can afford or are attracted to a Sport Tourer. Perhaps young David is wise beyond his years.wheatonFJR wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2017 11:01 am When I said old mans bike, I meant it different than how you took it. I am pleased that your son (I did get that right I hope!) and you are riding together. I know how special that can be. If you have not already done so, consider some helmet comm systems. That has enhanced mine and Dad's riding experience greatly.
Some of us are old before our time. And some of us never get old until it is too late. If our FJRs don't kill us they can keep us young for a long time.
Now I am going to ride my '15 over to Dad's to work on his '14. The Personalization Process is about to begin.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
David and I just got back. Warm here in SC, cold in the mtns...I had grip heaters on medium!
David had an XJ-600 as a first bike that he paid for himself...on the condition that he wore the gear I bought for him. He has the wisdom to not look a gift horse in the mouth and take the 2004 FJR given to him with few conditions as a wedding/bachelor send off present.
We had a nice relaxing slower paced ride today. Got to talk and listen to him talk about life stuff.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
It's always cool to see/hear about younger FJR riders. Being 25 myself, I know I'm in the minority. Doesn't bother me though, some guys on here ride like their 25
