What is this wire end for

I have the plastics off trying to get my wiring cleaned up and getting ready to add auxiliary lights and came across this wire end? right next to the headlight adjustment cable.

I am wondering what this is and what can it be used for?

I believe that is the temperature sensor for ambient air temps.

Thank you. I confirmed by looking at schematics, called thermistor.
