the below is my storage farkle. space is limited in my 15' x 25' barn/work shop. dollies were at lowes, on sale, designed for snow mobile storage.
fjr tucked in to its spot. i cut the carpet to make a "parking space". flatten carpet when bike is out for warm weather.
front wheel. forward motion is stopped by u-lock in upper right. valve stem for easy access. dolly for front wheel.
center stand strapped to dollies. strap from center stand to front wheel to prevent collapse. i am considering placing 2"x3" between dollies and securing with 2 10" band clamps, anchored w/screw to prevent motion/slippage.
How is that any different than just using the center stand? I know you should be able to roll it around, but will that even work with the carpet there? Does it have to roll like that to put it there? Looks suspiciously like an accident waiting to happen.
yes, it was a pita to get there...too tight a space to pivot off center-stand and park...figured if different projects required different space usage, easier to roll as unit, especially lateral moves...yes, keeping tension between front wheel and stand is "jesus nut" of farkle...time will tell...
I always look to Harbor Freight to fulfill my life's needs. Here's their solution for that sort of thing - reasonably priced and has positive user reviews. I'll bet you could mount a front wheel chock on it if you wanted the bike upright.
