Truly an astounding read.
You've captured the essence of what motorcycling and adventuring means:
We only get one life. Don't waste it.
Right on, man.

The PA Wilds is likely next. Easy loop and not far away. Can be done in a 4 day weekend most likely.FJRPittsburgh wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 2:22 pm NIce RR Cav! Thanks for the pics and ride report. Looks like it was well worth it. Another one crossed off the bucket list for you.

What an adventure!
I was impressed those other riders took you in so well. Sometimes you get guys that plan all of this epic adventure out and don't want any hiccups, different riding styles, or distractions joining in. You fit in with anybody so doesn't surprise me they welcomed you like they did. Everybody looked to have a ton of fun. Great report!

I mean, they were drinking PBR, and warm/hot PBR, so their standards are....well....

Those guys were somewhat savages, but not completely uncivilized. They did not drink it warm. Each one of the guys had beer, ice, or both in a cooler or pannier. They had their SOP and they were as refined as our camping protocols. They have perfected their beer carrying system through years of refinement. When stopped, they drank local beer or even asked for IPA/Craft selections. One time they are drinking Japanese beer. Dare I say they had a “selective pallet”. Meaning if there was a pallet of beer available, they would select it.wheatonFJR wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 8:29 pmWell, its not like they were drunk or anything. Give Cav some credit. Lol
