This is for sale where I bought my Triumph Tiger 900. Might be worth a test ride. It looks pretty in person. Years ago met a fellow riding one of these. He loved it.

On my 2023 FJR I changed the oil. Mounted a new front Pilot Road 4 GT. Bled the rear brake circuit as the rear brake pedal was just starting to get soft.

Another leisurely weekend ride, about 335 miles going Down East. That's southeast for you directionally handicappedrbentnail wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 10:23 am A leisurely 200 mile ride to the southwest of me. See, over the years my travels just in NC have taken me all over. Well, nearly all over. One thing I've been tracking is which of the 100 NC counties I've been to on my bikes. Yesterday was 2 of the remaining 4. Very rural, lots of corn fields in Union and Anson counties.

Yesterday I packed it all up for CFR! Late in afternoon I rode my German princess to meet a friend for an early dinner. The peak reading on the ambient temperature readout was 113 freaking degrees! Needless to say, I'll be glad to get the Hell out of Hell for a while!

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I road my FJR today for the first time since buying the Triumph on May 21st.
I found roads with the best asphalt in the area.
Nice day today with temps in the upper 70's and some puffy clouds.

Onward.

Back in farm land.

Almost the same as the prior photo but not quite.

From the odd side.

It seems the Canola here isn't a thick for vibrant as in prior years.

And what is the problem?

The other traffic sign I like is be prepared to stop. We are riding motorcycles, we are always prepared to stop.
I was in Palouse Washington today where the Palouse River run adjacent to the town. The flow is that of a creek. I ate lunch at the Palouse Caboose where this art hung on the wall. Teasing Pants here.

Part of my tech spec bag protection is coming off. It is the leading edge on the front and the wind above 45 is pulling it up more.
What is the best fix?
Thanks

I'd clean the bag surface with rubbing alcohol on a que tip, put down a little masking tape along the edge of the tech spec to protect the bag lid, then use ShoeGoo to glue down the recalcitrant piece, trim any squeeze out carefully with a razor knife so you don't get into the paint beneath the tape.

I have been using AI to get answers rather than browsing web pages because I get answers quickly. Sure I have to validate it but it is easier than surfing web pages. Plus it returns the sources. I asked Perplexity AI, "TechSpec’ motorcycle protection is loose. What is the fix?"
Here is the response.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I've never had a TechSpec pad come loose, but, the ones on the FJR bags are really in direct air flow. Most I have used are not. Silicone sealer will work well, as long as you tape the pad down while it cures. I'd give it over night as opposed to a couple of hours.fontanaman wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 1:48 pmI have been using AI to get answers rather than browsing web pages because I get answers quickly. Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
New Yuasa battery installed today.
Went to install the new ignition lock. That required more parts removal than I remembered to get to the connector. All new and slick and smooth and perfectly clicky.

Finally managed to break the pin off the fairing piece that goes between the tank and the seat. Will be on the hunt for one of those, I guess.
It's starting to get hot outside, that was enough garaging for today, the KTM 1190 will have to wait for another day for the fuel pump replacement.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I've broken one of those forward posts twice. Both times I just trimmed the mating edge a little then superglued it back in place THEN fill the whole thing with runny JB Weld. The raised edge section keeps the JB in place while it sets. I just set everything up in advance with a little tilt, etc.gixxerjasen wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 4:23 pm Finally managed to break the pin off the fairing piece that goes between the tank and the seat.
