Hey Pants, what they said..... none of those things you list is gonna happen. At tire change time, you check your wheel bearings..... I've replaced exactly one wheel bearing in 17 years.......

This has been a good conversation. As the FJR is now discontinued on the US I thought it would be a good time to get a new example with low miles. My last bike kind of idea as I am now 69.
For now I will keep my 17 and keep my eye out future opportunities. I'd rather drive a bike home post purchase but with temps in the 30's in Spokane that is not going to happen. It would be idea to get a used model on sale in the Pacific Northwest from a private party.
