Glad you guys had a good ride. Hate that I missed this one but we had a blast last night for New Years.

I’d be more than happy to swear under oath that having watched you ride for many, many miles, there is no way in hell you could be speeding through those curves. -0face
I need no pity. I was there. Duane was my tour guide for the awesome day that it was.
It would only have been better if the guy in the pickemup truck with Tennessee plates didn't throw his litter over the guardrail at the Roan Mountain overlook. Sorry if I slowed you down Duane, but I had an awesome ride.
2020 is gonna be a very good year.

Sounds like somebody is all healed up.

Pretty much my same meal yesterday.
Except my wife made a big pan of corn bread. I didn't get meatloaf, but she put a bunch of ham in the collard greens.
It was a fine meal.
If you put an FJR in the center of that curve you'd have the cover of the 2021 calendar nailed! Glad you had a good ride and great to see Wheaton back in the saddle again.

Belated new year resolution: work a little harder on rr pix (different perspectives)
For the past 20k miles or so of riding I've had what I needed in my tank bag to set up some unique shots, I've just been to scared to do it.
Consider yourself warned. If you join me in future rides there will be a little more time spent fiddling with gadgets for stupid camera tricks.
Edit: I could spend quite a bit of time resting at the spot that pic was taken
Welcome to the madness....
I've got something on the order of 30,000 'motorcycle pics", and I'm still searching for that perfect shot. I like to use the photograph to tell the story.

CODA: When I got home at the last lingering rays of sunlight I was tired. It was a full day of fun. But I didn't really sleep well the night before in anticipation of my first full day of fun in the mountains since the surgery. Collarbone did fine...in that I did not notice it at all.
However, I did notice towards the latter half of the ride that the skin on top of my shoulder by my neck felt like it got a burr or something under my collar...which seemed pretty weird. I figured I'd check it when I got home. I did check after I had that first beer, and it was a burn about 2 inches long in a straight line....blistered up. It's scabbed up now and about healed...but I guess I need to make sure I have a collar or something on my shirt in that area under my heated liner. I only had my liner at about 30-40%, and never had any issue in the 7 years I've had it.

Good news on the c bone. Did you inspect the liner for worn fabric that caused the wire to be to close to your skin? Seems odd to have a burn after using it for 7 years.
And fer cryn'g out loud...what are you doing wearing heated gear now that you are living closer to the equator than the north pole??
