hppants, thank you, the PDM60 also allows to be switched with an ignition trigger, in the past I have always ran with my lights on for better conspicuity.
Pterodactyl, thank you also for the feedback. I can switch amps on the PDM for whatever I have set to it. Its at 15 so I think I should be okay.
Thanks again to both of you.

Today, I rode it to train for the upcoming North Georgia Frosty Balls Ride. I did 569.7 miles in below freezing and not-too-far above freezing while Team Captain Jwilly monitored my spot track and offered encouragement when appropriate. All in all a good training day. Learned again that all the heated gear in the world won’t take the place of a toboggan under the helmet. Bike performed superbly.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
So, I've discovered what I think is the perfect setup. A few years ago I bought second hand barely used the full Gerbing suit with liners and socks and everything except the gloves. I always hated that suit. It fit super loose in the torso and tight in the arms. I joke that with a description like that you'd think I was built like Popeye. I can assure you that I am in NO way built like Popeye. The torso would get breezy negating anything the liner was doing. I tried wearing a sweatshirt over the liner which helped put the heat to my torso but then the arms were so tight I was loosing circulation.bill lumberg wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 9:25 pm Learned again that all the heated gear in the world won’t take the place of a toboggan under the helmet. A few weeks ago in Minneapolis I picked up one of those down puffy vests. The other day when it was 30F I wore that over the heated liner and let me tell you, that thing filled up the jacket perfectly and seriously insulated the heated liner. Keep the core warm and the rest does it's job. I think I'm going to like this setup.

If a toboggan under your helmet makes things too tight, a Lycra skullcap works wonders. Look for a snow skier accessory ...bill lumberg wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 9:25 pm ... Let’s find out if it’s worth the $14 more it cost over the Road 5.

Two days ago, I couldn’t find one for sale online, but my shop could order one. Yesterday
morning, Revzilla and the usual suspects were showing GT’s.

Managed to get out for a nice 50 miles or so today. Sun came out and it broke 50 degrees. Not bad for PA a few days before Christmas

Rode it to work this morning. Temps were above freezing, forecast calls for over 50 by the time I leave for home.

Rainy day here in North Georgia. Washed it up. Filthy from the last ride that started with wet roads. Looking at riding the day after Xmas.
