This reminds me of a time I went to counseling with my last ex wife. When the counselor asked how I felt about our relationship I said, "Controlled".

The resopnse from my ex was:
"I am NOT controlling and I absolutely FORBID you from saying that."

The counselor just about fell out of her chair.

I have been banned from many motorcycle forums because I am somewhat opinionated and more than somewhat an asshole. But here, we are all "put up with" even though there are one or two of us who are rather unruly.

As for the moderated forum, I pledge to behave and keep the shenanigans in the appropriate place.

There's just too much what the f@$k in this thread to know where to begin...

I respect Wayne and the people making this forum available without all the strictures on personality that have come about on other forums. I know it's a balancing act...and I appreciate it.

That being said, ETJ and 0Face can GFY...and I mean that in the most polite way possible.

What I'm reading here is that generally everyone is accepting that a new sub-forum dedicated to being a technical library having stricter policy regarding off topic comments and "B.S.".

I will start a new thread on that topic.

Also - many have reached out about helping (PM's, emails). I / we truly appreciate those offers and I will respond to each one of them, it may take a little time as my focus is stretched thin right now.

And that can be done anywhere outside of the tech library, so perfect.

I like the idea that was mentioned earlier - "moderator for a day" - but as satisfying as that might be to watch Wheatie or Gixxerjason's posts to be constantly edited and deleted, it would be entirely too dangerous to existing content...

aka - "What's this button do?"...

Pay to play moderator for a day? That would be interesting for us, and very lucrative for you! Jsns

The license plate frame project has funded the opportunity to move to a new host with better performance. We are going to be diligent in this process and ask for your patience. Wayne and I need some time that we can collaborate on this and make the transition as smooth as possible.

Cool! The hats might be able to fund a Cray and a fiber optic Ethernet network!
