You need the 250-1223, plus a switch and, for the Gen 1, a frequency divider. For Gen 2 and 3 you can use the ABS input to the ECU for the speed signal.

I wanted to revive this thread because I have some new perspective on it. As I recall, Twigg wondered if the R&D money and resources were misspent on the Electronic Suspension and the rest of the bike neglected.

After spending some time with Dad's "new" 2014 A model I have to say Definitely Not. The improvements to the bike as compared to his '07 are almost too numerous to list. Most of them are subtle and almost unnoticed but as a whole the Gen3 is a much improved bike. I look forward to an opportunity to ride a '16 or newer with the new transmission and LED lighting.

But for now I am loving my '15 ES.

I'm loving my GenIII
Fwiw:
LED's - Like them alot, not as good as Clearwater's for lighting up the night, but definitely better than previous oem tech imho
6sp trans - I personally haven't seen any difference in mpg's. The only advantage I've found so far is maybe less buzziness at interstate speeds.
